I have seen a couple other threads with this question but I wanted to ask for my situation as well as hopefully get a slightly better more concrete answer (if possible).
Ok, so I bought a quad channel motherboard (Gigabyte x99p-SLI) and 2x8gb ram(Corsair Vengeance LPX)...is this bad? Is it ok for me to go ahead and install the 2x8gb stick and just order another 2x8gb kit when I need it or should I send it back in and get a 4x8gb kit? I only really need 16gb of RAM right now but would like to expand to 32gb in the future and don't want to be limited by 4gb RAM sticks. I have seen some videos saying you should buy 4x8 kits for quad channel boards and 2x8 kits for dual channel boards but some say its ok so i don't know. This is my first time building a custom PC so I am learning all of this.
Here is my full build list if it matters:

*Machine will be used primarily for 3D rendering/dynamics and some gaming.
