Hello,

I am looking to purchase an ASUS DVD RW Internal Drive and also a bezel for my Corsair Obsidian 350D Case and would appreciate some advice.

What I had in mind was the ASUS DRW-24F1MT Internal drive but don't know if this will fit the Corsair Obsidian 350D case?

I have checked on the PCPartPicker website but this drive wasn't listed as compatible.
There is another similar drive on PCPartPicker the ASUS DRW-24F1ST which is compatible with the 350D but it's a more expensive so I would prefer the cheaper DRW-24F1MT if it will fit.
Apart from the price I am not sure what the difference is between these two drives, they both look exactly the same.

To avoid spoiling the look at the front of the case I would also like to purchase a bezel for the drive.
What I had in mind was this bezel made by Lian-li:

I read another post where someone had suggested this bezel for the 350D but I have no way of knowing if this will fit.

Do you know if this bezel will fit my case?

Thanks,

All internal optical drives have standard width and height dimensions, only the depth varies on some models (which shouldn't be a factor anyway with most cases.

Looking at pics of the case you have it seems to have a plain, flat front with standard push-out blanking plates so any internal optical drive should fit. Get one with a black facia-plate and that should be job done.

I wouldn't be picky about the type of facia-plate it has as long as it's not white or cream coloured (obviously).
Just plain black or even dark grey would suit me, matching it exactly with the case seems over picky.

So am I correct in thinking as long as the DVD RW Drive will fit inside a desktop case then I could choose any internal DVD drive without any incompatibility issues operating the drive?

I just wanted to double check because If so then I can look for a more suitable drive without contrasting text or logos.
