Hi, sorry if I mess this up, first time posting anything. A few months ago I upgraded my computer pretty significantly, only thing I have from the original is the case. I also built one for my roommate with the same specs. After the upgrade however, mine has begun crashing randomly. All sound stops, the screen goes black and the monitor displays "No Signal" as if I disconnected it from the computer. The computer still has all its lights on, all fans still spinning and everything, but the only way to do anything is to shut it down with the power button. Now the weird part is whenever this happens, if my roommate is doing something online they will get serve lag for 3-5 seconds. No blue screen appears whenever these crashes happen.
OS: Windows 10 home
CPU: i7 4790k
GPU - GTX 960
RAM - 16 gigs Corsair Vengeance
Motherboard - Asus Z97-G45
All drivers are up to date.

Go to event viewer and check for critical events.
It sounds like your GPU driver is failing: this can be OS/driver issue or maybe your GPU is physically failing.
Try switching GPU's with your roommate and see if the problem persists.

The only critical errors in the event viewer are unexpected shutdowns, I'm assuming thats from my manually restarting after the crashes. I'll try using my roommates GPU and seeing what happens.
