Hey there! I am about to receive my new desktop and the thing is that I had a call from the guys that I ordered it from. The issue is that I picked ddr4 2400 mhz with i7-6700 and they said that I should get a lower freq. RAM since the CPU supports only DDR4-1866/2133. My motherboard supports up to 3600 btw. So my question here is, if I go with the 2400 will my system be able to run at that speed or will it get reduced to 2133 cause of the CPU, even though the motherboard supports it.

I am certain that the motherboard will automatically under clock the RAM to match the speeds of the CPU. There is not really much that could go wrong with a higher frequency of RAM. The motherboard can choose which speed to run it on, that is why there are people who overclock RAM through the BIOS, a part of the motherboard.
