Motherboard: GA-Z77X-D3H
Bios:
Cpu control=pwm
Fan control=normal ( both cpu and sys fan 1 2 3
Connections :
Cpu fan: y splitter for 2 cryorig fans on r1 ultimate (cpu cooler)
Sys_fan 1: 3 splitter with 3x fractal venturi hp14 pwm (4pin) (intake)
Sys_fan 3: 1x Fractal dynamic gp14 (3pin) (exhaust)
IO controller: IT8728F
In speedfan I have pwm 1, 2 and 3. On PWM 2 I control the front fans, connected to sys_fan 1.
Then the weird thing, I need to use both PWM 1&3 to get the cpu fan running at max rpm. Both set at 100% maximum speed.
Only using PWM 1 or 3 gives me half the rpm.
Now I wan't to exchange the gp14 with a pwm controlled fan, because it keeps running at max speed. But if if I do this I don't have a PWM 4 to regulate the rpm's, correct?
The question: is it possible to use only PWM 1 or 3 for the cpu?
Or
Will there be an extra PWM if I add an extra PWM 4 if I connect another PWM controlled fan?
Am I missing something?
