Recently bought a very expensive gaming computer but it's useless until I can use the Internet on it. I purchased a tp-link usb adapter but it didn't find any networks. My ISP is talk-talk and my router is huawei. I know literally nothing about networking. What adapter should I buy? Preferably not a PCI card.

1. Did you install the drivers for it?
2. How far away from the router is it?
3. Can you access that router, via WiFi, with any other device?

1) yes I installed the driver an utility but it just didn't find any networks.

2) I tried setting the PC up in the living room right next to the router and still nothing.

3) I can access multiple networks on literally any other device
