Hi, I got a sapphire r9 290x tri-x oc to crossfire with my asus r9 290, but I can't get it to boot. My old card works perfectly on an asus z87 pro, i7 4770k, 16gb g skill ddr3, 500gb Samsung SSD, 3tb WD HDD, corsair tx850m PSU running Windows 10.

I have updated my mobo bios to the latest version, I did a clean install of latest drivers using DDU, but no luck. If I boot with IGPU as primary and my display cable plugged in the mobo, no problem, even the card is recognized in the bios and the vga led on the mobo turns off.

If I leave it on auto detect or PCIE graphics, the system won't POST and the vga led on the mobo stays lit, i get a code 71 then the pc restarts and i get a code b2. The 8 and 6 pin connectors are in place and give power since my asus r9 290 works fine, so mobo is fine and psu is fine. I have been trying to flash the bios on the gpu, but it's the same version as the latest on Techpowerup. I can not try it on another PCIE slot because the card is a beast and ends up on the SATA connector of the mobo, but i am sure the slot is fine since again, it works perfectly with my reference asus r9 290.

Please help, I don't know what else i can try.
