G.Skill 2x8 DDR4 2800MHz (F4-2800C15D-16GVRB) on Asus Z170-A Compatibility

I checked the QVL of that particular Memory in the G.Skill website and Z170-A is listed under Asus QVL however when I checked Asus website for the QVL of Z170-A, model number F4-2800C15D-16GVRB is not listed under 2800MHz.

So which one to follow? Is it safe to assume that G.Skill 2x8 DDR4 2800MHz (F4-2800C15D-16GVRB) will work on Z170-A without any compatibility issues?

Yes, it should be 100% compatible.

Although you might want to find one that run at 2800 at 1.2v

If it's on the G.Skill QVL, those are the combinations we have tested the XMP to be perfectly compatible paired with a capable CPU.
