Custom sleeved mobo, GPU, and mobo ATX12v cables.
Just built my first watercooling loop. Loop runs fantastically. However... computer will NOT boot, or even post into BIOS... It definitely used to do this, without any error. I've tried everything I can think of. I don't get any beeps, or any indication that things are broken. My debug LED goes through the normal digits, and then waits for a second at what I can only presume to be A9, and then stops on what I believe is A6.
I'm viewing it from the right angle, otherwise the readout would be illegible. It's possible that it halts on "Ab" to be honest, but I can't seem to find a real conclusion to it. I've looked at this link and people seem to have the same problem (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=9026.0).
I also had turned my PSU on/off multiple times during my build phase because I was shorting it with the included mobo shorting attachment, so I could test the LED strips I placed in the machine. I also accidentally connected a fan to the CMOS jumper during boot once, but I don't think that would have affected anything.
I've done these troubleshooting steps (and attempted a reboot after each trial):
- Disconnected all components, examined all sockets for bent prongs, reconnected, including PSU side of connections
- Disconnected all watercooling parts
- Detached GPU and started using the mobo HDMI port
- Checked HDMI cable and TV with other computer
- Detached all SATA connections
- Removed RAM, then added 1x RAM back
- Examined all prongs on the board for connections bent ports
- Removed all fans from the fan controller, and made sure only the CPU_FAN -> Fan Hub is connected
- Kept the TV unplugged during quick boot, then plugged it back in after it finished it's cycle
- Moved the TV to another room and tried with another desktop
- Reset the CMOS via the jumper and the CMOS switch
- Unplugged the TV, booted till "Ab/A6", reconnected monitor to iGPU
Things I have not done:
- Removed CPU waterblock and inspected for bent prongs (not sure if this is necessary)
I'm [watch your language] going nuts over here, because I really need my PC back, and I haven't had it for over two weeks (parts came in slowly, and I had to learn/build).
Is my mobo dead? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
