Do I need a shielded ethernet cable for across the room? If so, what kind?

Hello,
I need a 15m ethernet cable to connect my modem with second PC across the room. This cable would go past my first computer's power cables. What kind of shielding do I need? I've heard about many different kinds of shielding but I don't know what each does and which one would be appropriate for me. Please help me with this one, I'm clueless.

Also, is Cat6 worth it considering that my internet speed is pretty bad?

Thanks for help!

Best way to know for sure is to test it.. Nothing is 100% till tested.. Granted I am 99% sure you will not need shielded cable even right on the power lines. I have ran cables across 10 power lines for lights and outlets with UTP with no issue at all on a 179Ft run..
15m isn't much at all. You shouldn't need shielded cables to run that far even with the power cable being close by. Shielded cables are more for long cable runs that push the Ethernet specs. Try with a regular cable and if it doesn't work then try a shielded cable. 90% of the time you will be ok with the regular cable at a much lower cost. Also your equipment must support shielded cables (they all might nowadays I haven't had to run a special shielded cabled in a decade for a short run like that on non enterprise grade networking gear).

So I can safely go with UTP? I'm asking because cable will be literally touching the power cables from the 1st PC.
