Okay, hopefully someone can help me out here. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU because my old processor (AMD Phenom II X4 965) has begun to start to bottleneck with my AMD Radeon HD 7970 when gaming. I've done some research and believe my best CPU option is the Haswell-E (But I'm open to suggestions in the same price range). I have the CORSAIR HX Series HX1050 1050W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified power supply. So I believe I have some leverage on my PSU to thankfully play with.

I have three HDDs hooked up, the Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1 Terabyte (1TB) SATA/300 7200RPM 32MB, the Seagate Barracuda Green ST1500DL003 1.5TB 5900 RPM 64MB , and the Western Digital WD Green WD20EZRX 2TB IntelliPower 64MB and a standard DVD player.

Money wise I can always do a chunk here and there for each part, but right now I can throw 500-700 with no remorse for the motherboard, cpu and DDR4 Ram I'll most likely need. I have a pretty solid cooling heatsink system, and my GPU should be alright for another 1-3 years before I need to really replace it. So if anyone on here can help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Its mainly just for gaming purposes. I overclock on the shorthand, but yea I overclock when I need too. I reset back to default after I've finished whatever it was I needed to overclock for.
