New memory question

Hi. I'm wanting to take out my existing Hyper X Genesis DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) 1600 memory and put in Hyper X Fury DDR3 16GB (2x8GB) 1600. Is this a direct replacement or do I have to change any settings?

just pull the old ones out and plug the new ones in.
but, did you check with the motherboard manufacturer if that ram is supported?
also, why did you buy a entirely new kit when you could have bought the same kit again?

Thanks for the reply. The original memory is Hyper X Genesis and newer memory is Hyper X Fury. I've read I should not mix the two kinds. I guess I could hit up eBay for 8 more GB of Genesis.
