I've been suffering from internet cut off for two days already! I've been using my router and this Window 7 for many years already. It happens two days ago. I was playing online FPS game while in the same time having a Skype call with a friend. Out of the blue, my internet got cut off and named as "Unidentified Network" and in the troubleshooting it tells "Local Area Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I reset the router ,replug a new LAN cable and reboot the PC and it still doesn't work, showing the same thing again. I've no clue but let my brother find the solution and he expected it was his Hamachi conflicting our IP address. Therefore, he unistalled it and Tunggle and he said that it was went back on. The next morning, I boot up the PC and it's still fine, but I just give a quick check and went to class already. As I came back in the afternoon, it shows that annoying "!" yellow triangle again. My other PC, phone and iPad still able to connect. My brother is now clueless and suggested to format, but I really don't want to do that anymore and find the solution instead. I've been searching tons of solved forum and tried them out, still doesn't work. Around in the late afternoon it went back on for a short period and when I take the chance to use it, Boom, again that thing. Today this afternoon it happens to get back the internet itself again, but i quickly copy down the ipconfig /all before I expect it happens to get cut off, and it really does it after I copy down. Here's what I got.

When the internet is cut off:-

C:\Users\User>ipconfig /all

Hope anyone can provide safety procedure to get over this problem of mine, thanks!

Solution
Do not reformat - too early in the problem to consider that.

That 169.254.93.141 IP address is the IP address that Windows assigns to itself when it cannot make an expected network connection.

Make sure your ethernet card is securely seated in the PCI slot. And again try another known working ethernet cable.

Do a dnsflush via the command prompt. The process is easy and can be found a variable of forum postings herein.
