Boot device not found [Hardware issue?]

My girlfriend's been using her computer a while now, but in the last 2 years it's been acting weird - random crashes, BSoD, slow performance even after new Windows installation, ...

In October 2015 I fully cleaned (physically - with airbrush and so on) and reinstalled everything on her computer. Should've been "brand new", except for the hardware part.

In less than two months (so around December 2015), she got an error like "Boot device not found ..." and there was no way to locate her hard drive anymore. So I decided to upgrade her computer a little bit.

Since she had problems with crashes and stuff like that, I figured the PSU might be old. Along with that, her Hard Drives were at least 8 years old too, so I decided to change those too.

What I did was buy:
- New SSD
- New HDD
- New PSU
- New fans (both tower and cpu fans)

Then I reinstalled everything again. Everything worked perfectly. Her computer was fast, no crashes were involved anymore, and so on ...

However, today she called me and said she got the same error again. "Boot device not found ...". Sadly I'm not near her to go check her computer what the exact error states, but I would assume you guys are familiar with it?

So my question is ... what could possibly be going wrong that she got the same error again (even though 2 months passed)? The only thing that hasn't been changed in her computer are Motherboard, Processor, RAM's and cables that connect motherboard and hard drives.

I also hope that this doesn't mean that her new Hard Drives got fried or something? I want to find the solution once and for all.

If by any chance I provided too few information about the error, she should send me the full text of what the error says by the end of the day.

Solution
Bad luck mostly.
Every batch of hardware produced has a % which fails. It can fail during quality check, the next day, next year, or never.
HDD's are consumables from my opinion and some of them get to live a long life, but only some.

It's 2 months old. And I believe I did check SSD's health around 2-3 weeks ago on her computer and it said "Good".
And even if that were the case, what causes it? It happened on the previous Hard Drive too.

I accidentally clicked Best solution when I received an email of your response.

I understand what you're saying, but I find it a bit of a coincidence to receive the same error twice in two months on different hard drives! I'm fully aware that SSD's are fragile and once they die, there's no recovering them, but to me this seems more like another issue. I'm no expert in this field, but is there any chance that something else might be a problem. I don't want to spend money on another drive just to see it fail or receive the same error in a month from then...

Install Windows fresh on the storage HDD and check it again after normal usage ~ 1 week from installation.
Meanwhile use the SSD as storage and see if it has issues.
There aren't many components that can damage an HDD, especially an SSD. PSU would be my only bet but since you bought a new one, it's out of the question.
In short, don't buy a new one, try using the old ones until the next failure.
