Hello, I'm trying to pick a suitable monitor for my new setup which is going to be:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590(possibly4690)
GPU: ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2-4GD5
RAM: Kingston 16GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9 HyperX Savage or Corsair 16GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Vengeance LP
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+ EVO
HDD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z97X-SLI or ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER GAMING MB
PSU: Seasonic G Series 650W
I enjoy gaming not competetively though and not exclusively FPS. But I do watch a lot of films and documentaries.
So my problem is wheter to buy 60Hz or 144Hz? The GTX 970 probably won't hold 140fps in most newer games i suspect. Another choice is whether to go for TN or IPS. For example:
24" ASUS VK248H - 212dollars - 60Hz TN
24" ASUS VG248QE - 308 dollars - 144Hz TN
25" ASUS MX259H - 263 dollars - 60Hz IPS
I cannot afford one with G-sync unfortunately, cheapest one is for 458 dollars...
Thank you for any feedback!
