Recently, I bought I zotac gts 250 1gb gddr3 for only £25, I have over clocked it and is still working, here are the speeds.

Default:
Core clock - 675mhz
Shader clock - 1620mhz
Memory clock - 1000mhz

Over clocked (current speeds):
Core clock - 760mhz
Shader clock - 1824mhz
Memory clock - 1170mhz

Is this card worth keeping for a lttle longer or upgrading? (I'm on a budget so Max upgrade would prob be e.g. gtx750ti).

Only YOU can answer that question. If you just mostly do web surfing.. chat.. then that card is more than adequate.

Are you having any problems playing of the games you currently have? If not.. then the card is fine.

If you ARE having problems... then you could consider upgrading...

Well there are a few things to be sorted out here.

1. What are you using this card for? Gaming? What games? What resolution?

2. What are the rest of your system spec?

There is no doubt that the 750Ti represents a massive upgrade performance wise in comparison to your 250 (overclocked or not), but if you have an older system, it might be limited by your platform. The 750 also supports up to DX 12, whereas the 250 is only a DX 10 part. There is only a couple of games that support DX 12 so far, but there are lots of DX11 games out there.

If gaming isn't a priority and you use your computer for just internet stuff, then you probably don't need to upgrade. If you do game and you find your games are lagging, or you can't turn the detail settings up to where you'd like them, then you might want to consider an upgrade.

That all said, you have a tri-core CPU. your overall system is slower. Meaning you may not get the full benefit of the 750Ti, though you should still notice a difference.

Depends on your system, some integrated graphics match or beat that card so it's pretty low end for gaming.

Is it worth keeping? if your PC does everything you want it to then of course. If there is something you'd like it to do better and the rest of the system is ok then an upgrade is probably worth while.

If it's about gaming then understand for PC gaming you really need to pick a budget and game at that level, otherwise there are always better upgrades etc.

I'm not finding anything lagging, but is there any way I could get a little extra out this card e.g. extra over clocking? BTW I'm using the stock cooler but custom fan curve on MSI afterburner.

I like to overclock, not so much for the gains it brings, but more for the passion I have for hardware and pushing it's limits. I have never found that the performance I gained from overclocking a GPU justified the time I put into it. Unfortunately overclocking often brings up the temperatures.

So if you want to squeeze out more performance you and haven't reached thermal armageddon yet, then by all means go for it. However don't expect it to be a night and day difference from what you have now. You probably won't feel any difference. Obviously though you don't want to exchange stability for a few extra MHz, so keep that in mind.
