Installing programs into a secondary HDD (getting all files into secondary storage)

Currently I have an SSD and an HDD. I install most of my software on the SSD, since it's also my boot device, but I want to install some programs, which I frequently update, in my HDD. I know the way to do this is by choosing my secondary storage as the destination for the program when doing the custom installation. But the thing is even by doing so, some files of the program still get installed in the boot device (the SSD) and I want all of the information concerning this particular program to be on the HDD. Any suggestions on this problem?

Thanks.

This is kind of tricky. First because you can't install a game that requires Windows files to run on a drive that does not have Windows files. The DLL and other files will error out. So, first thing to know, unless your second drive has Windows on it, it won't work.

Second, this will depend on each program you try to install as they all install differently. In some instances you don't have the option to change the install path, and if you do, the program won't function right.

My best advice would be to buy some partitioning software to join the two together. EaseUs and Paragon are both good.
