Motherboard is about a year old, got a new case this year that fit my gtx970 a little better. Got everything moved over and the MOBO won't post on either BIOS on the board.

Had a spare mobo to test everything else, everything else works fine.

Tried pulling the cmos battery and as stated checked both bios and nothing from either.

i7-4790
gigabyte gtx970
16gb corsair vengeance
2 seagate drives
1 asus dvd burner

Everything works with the spare mobo.

Anything else I can try short of replacing the board?

Solution
If you know that CPU and PSU do work, then it looks like a motherboard issue. Try testing it outside the case, if you haven't so far. If still no go, I'd RMA it.

I tried that, took it all the way down to barebones and nothing. Also, this series of boards have LED indicators for post status. They do not light up at all.

Thank you for the quick responses, it does look like power is going through to everything, just for whatever reason the bios(s) are both dead. Will be contacting MSI tomorrow about possible replacement or repair.

Just thought I'd plug at something on this one.

I had something similar last week with an older machine.
Everything worked.... just wouldn't boot.
And we hadn't actually done anything except shut it down for a few hours.
So it went from a fully working PC to not booting for no apparent reason.

Didn't have the luxury of LED's to tell me anything tho.
Press power, it all appears to start up, but nothing - not even a beep.

I was pulling my hair out as the machine had been a trusty old lump and hadn't been moved or opened from when it was properly shut down.
From experience, it could have been anything - wasn't looking forward to ripping everything out to test it.
Eventually, I got my PSU tester and plugged that in.
It only cost a few $'s from ebay about 2 years ago and they are still available.
Hey presto!! One of the 5v lines was showing very low/intermittent voltage on the main mobo cable.
Swapped out the PSU and it now works fine :D

That little $3 widget saved me an awful lot of time and effort.
Something worth investing in!

Same thing just happened to me. I powered my computer off during a vacation and came home and computer wouldn't boot. The only thing that threw me off was that there were lights on the motherboard and gpu, but no posting. Swapped out the power supply and good as new. I happened to have a couple spares. But it's just weird that a power supply would go out after being off for a few days. I usually leave my computer on 24/7.
