How to remove partitions?

On the microsoft website, it says to just use disk management to delete partitions and make them into unallocated space which can then be added to disk space, but someone else told me that they did that and it ruined a flash drive they had partitioned on accident.

So, I have a 1.5TB internal HDD that has windows 10 installed on it and it's split into a number of partitions and want to change it into extra space now that I've gotten a new HDD and installed windows on it.

The partitions:
System - 100MB
OS (E: ) - 1.37GB
-no name- - 450mb
and it also has 17.14GB unallocated space which I seem unable to add into the disk storage space.

I plan to make it into 1 single parition and format it.

Anyone able to walk me through that? :)

No, I don't need ANYTHING on that disk. I've moved everything I need over to my new HDD and only reason I'm honestly formatting it is so I can get rid of all the windows/HP stuff and not worry about missing anything lol.

By use disk management, you mean to follow the thing on microsoft website? Just "delete partition" and then when I delete all of them, format? Or?

not if you have multiple partitions on the disk. and some that didn't even have a drive letter.
