Solution
Stick with intel and go for R9 380x for the best 1080p experience and entry to 1440p.
Gtx 970 will be overkill for 1080p, and the ram bottlenecks at 3.5GB.
not saying that gtx 970 is not a good card, its a great card but you save around $50 with 380x.

i3 will be enough for 1080p, i5 will be the sweet spot for your coming upgrade.

Since your choice for an Intel CPU will take up a lot of $ for a graphics card, I think that the AMD FX 6300 will be able to achieve the same performance. It is better because it has 6 cores (4 more than i3) and it can be overclocked. I added an Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo so the CPU will run cooler. For graphics, You were able to get an GTX 970, which can peform much better than the GTX 950 and R9 380. The completed build price is cheaper than your current ones.
