Hi

Just a quick check of something.

This is how I currently have my drives set out:

-SSD is installed in the SATA III 0 slot (Master slot)
-HDD is installed in the SATA III 1 slot
-Blue-Ray CD-RW Drive is installed in the SATA III 2 slot

I have a voucher for £50 so would like to use it to get another SSD, the same as my current one that is holding the OS.

When I receive it can I move the HDD down to slot 2 and the Blue-Ray drive down to slot 3 so I can then put the new SSD in the slot 2. This is just so it is all ordered as SSD's first and HDD second then Blue-Ray drive last.
Would there be any problems with programs no being able to find the HDD as it would be in a different port now, such as games not being able to load.

If it is better to leave the HDD in slot 2 I will both the Blue-Ray drive down to slot 3 and then put the new SDD in the slot 2.

I'm open to opinions on the matter.

Regards

The SATA port does not matter. Except in the case of the specific board, and which ports are SATA III and which are SATA II and which are Marvell ports.

Other than that, move as needed. Or not. It really makes no difference.

No, the drive letters do not change.
