hello.. so i have a really old socket 7 pc that was working properly but stupid me i removed the cpu and then reinstalled it after that the pc wont show anything on screen and wont beep everything seems working fine hhd sounds good psu working, fans spining normally etc. i have tried reinstalling the cpu again didnt work i unpluged and pluged the display port didnt work i removed the cmos battery for several minutes didnt work....so is my cpu broken? or something happened to the motherboard?
A CPU rarely fails, but motherboards are more prone to failure, particularly when they are that old. Make sure the 20-pin cable is fully inserted; if it is then the motherboard probably is broken (or the PSU failed, but you can test with another one).
