Hello! I have asrock n68c-s motherboard and windows 7 ultimate 64-bit installed. Yesterday i got two corsair XMS3 — 4GB Dual Channel DDR3. So, that should be total of 8 gb. The problem is, that my bios reads only 2 GB per kit/module. I tested slots and they are all working fine.

Solution

No, you dont. According to the part number you provided you have 2 sticks at 2Gb each which is sold as a dual channel 4gb kit(2+2=4). If you had 2 4gb kits then you would have 4 2gb sticks{(2+2)+(2+2)=8}.

I have two, 4gb kit(2x2gb)... I think the model number is CMX4GX3M2A1600C9. There are some other numbers on the sticker...

The model # you provided is for a 2stick, 4GB package, this means the package is 4GB total (each stick is 2GB) not that each stick in the package is a 4GB stick. This happens quite often where people see the package and think each stick is the amount of DRAM on the package rather than the total DRAM IN the package. IN short you have 2x2GB so 4GB total is correct ;)
