GTX 950 OC freezes in BIOS startup screen

I just bought the GPU and it doesnt work, im currently using the motherboard's vga slot to use the PC.
If you need any info about my PC ask me and I would like it if you told me how to find it.

What are your full system specs, including make/model of the power supply?

PSU: New Matrix ATX-650w (i tested out a 1500w PSU and it didnt make it work)
4GB Ram
Intel Pentium G620 2.60GHz (2 CPUs)
Windows 7 64bit
as i said im not using a GPU im using the motherboards VGA
I suspect the bios needs updating but the thing i downloaded only works for 32bit and i cant find a 64bit one

If that 1500w PSU was a not name unit, like that 650w, that could be part of your problem. PSU quality should be one thing you don't compromise on. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Bios is not dependent on whether the OS is 32bit or 64bit. Is this an OEM machine, or custom build. You really didn't give enough system info.

It was custom built and I doubt the PSU I tested was high quality. Can you specify what type of info you need, im not sure what i must submit.

Motherboard would be the big one. For PSU, make sure to choose one from tier 1 or 2, from the listing I linked earlier. Custom build normally don't need a bios update to run a particular gpu, but I suppose it is possible. Normally that is an OEM thing.

This is a screenshot of my system summary. The user manual on the box of my CPU says "Ultra Durable Motherboard GA-H61M-S2P" when i had my BIOS open it said the version was "FE" not sure if you need that. Sorry for the late answer I was trying to find the motherboard box.

It looks like there are actually some bios updates that improve GPU compatibility. A bios update appears to be a good idea, in your case. You can download the bios utility, from Gigabyte. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4293#utility

I would download the latest revision. It will have all the other updates included in it.

Make sure you are downloading for the correct revision, of your board. Gigabyte has more than one board revision for that model. I would think the bios utility would download the correct one for you though. You may want to consult the manual, on how to update as well.

That is not your bios utility. You need to download the gigabyte @bios utility. http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Utility/mb_utility_atbios.exe

It works but now there is another problem, I cant choose the correct monitor resolution which is 1440x900

You need to install your graphics driver. You can get that straight from Nvidia.

I solved the issue, I could force it to be 1440x900 but the image get kinda blurry so I decided to test out the other resolutions to get something that works (1366x768). I think that my GPU doesn't support this resolution so I'm gonna buy another screen soon, this one is getting old anyway.

That card supports that resolution. Are you certain your monitor does?
