This is my first build =]. Currently, I am failing to post. I am troubleshooting outside of my case. When I try to boot up, my mobo stops on the boot device led. I have tried flashing the bios, clearing CMOS, and moving a single stick of ram to different slots. I have even tried contacting Asus, although they didn't really help. My case did not come with a speaker, so I can't provide beep patterns. Only the essential components are connected at the moment, in addition to a keyboard(2 USB connection in USB 2.0 slots) and an HDMI cable for a monitor. I have also tried booting without the keyboard plugged in.
Intel i5 6600k
Asus sabertooth z170 Mark 1
G skill Ripjaw V series DDR4 F4-2400C15D-8GVR (2x4)
Cool Master Hyper 212 Evo
If there is anything else I can try, please share.

Solution
Is the cpu cooler plugged into the correct header? The 8-pin cpu power cable? If you can, boot into bios and set optimized defaults, then enable XPM profile1, save settings then exit and see if you can boot. make sure that the cpu cooler is not too tight?
