Hello, something strange is going on with my pc. First i bought a psu and gpu 2nd hand(CORSAIR VS650)(gigabyte r9 280x) to replace my old gtx 660. Since then i had troubles with it. While playing heavy game, the pc shuts off by itself. I asked in some local forums and they told me to rma the PSU. I did and after 3 weeks they told me that nothing is wrong with the psu and they tested it with good gpu. Okay, i got the psu and had no problems for 3-4 hours then suddenly it shut off.. And when i checked everything i heard strange noise from my psu(like buzzing but its not coil whine, the pc is NOT on) before i turned the pc on. I have almost 2 years more warranty for the psu and only 1 week for the gpu. Should i go fast and rma the gpu? It's good one, not overheating everything is okay. While loading a map in csgo i should ALT+tab to evade the shut down. I downloaded OCCT it has a feature to test the psu, so when i press start sometimes it shuts down sometimes its not(sometimes when it starts 1-2 seconds after it shuts down). My other parts:
CPU: I5-4690k
GPU: gigabyte r9 280x rev2.0
PSU: corsair vs650
RAM: Geil evo potenza 8gb ddr3
i have 1 week warranty left for the gpu, please give me advices. Sorry for my english

IT'S THE PSU!

High FPS= high transients, since the card turns on and off really quickly between frames. For less than stellar PSUs that can cause coil whine in the GPU or PSU, but for bad PSUs like your VS650 it can actually drop voltages low enough that they become out of spec and your computer shuts down to protect itself. Get a new PSU, The EVGA G2 650 (ONLY THE G2, never...

VS are not low quality PSU's

The VS series are the cheapest, lowest quality power supply Corsair makes and have no place in a gaming system. Period.

Well, i cant afford a new one, also i see people on internet using r9 290 with it. I know its cheap but, damn it should be fine with this gpu... OCCT when i load the psu test without fullscreen its OKAY when it had to like switch to fullscreen thats where the problem hits and shuts off. Whats the logic of windowed being okay and when i press fullscreen it shuts off?

GUYS, Its sooo strange... So when i run occt it shuts down, okay. When i put my phone to charge via the usb, IT WORKS LIKE CHARM NOT SHUTTING OFF. When i remove the phone from charging it shuts down just when i start the test.. tried to remove it while testing and it works. What the hell can cause this?
P.S Soo sorry for double posting.. :/

Two possibilities,
1) Your mobo is broken or the firmware needs to be updated
2) Your PSU is garbage (already stated multiple times) and needs replacing

Without custom equipment that reads at 1000Hz, won't really help. Instead, try running furmark. If that works fine but games cause problems, nearly 100% chance it's psu

Furmark runs okay, i ran cinebench(had it on my pc before..) its okay too. But when i rma'd the lsy they told me that its okay.. ye it works but shuts down.. they might lied to me ??

Not necessarily, but their test platform is likely completely different than your machine. One issue could be the PSU shutting down due to transients from the graphics card and low power from the haswell chip. For now, force your CPU to 100% minimum clock, disable haswell exclusive sleep states, and set GPU to 100% too.

If you're using Windows, it's because windowed mode and exclusive mode (fullscreen) are completely different methods. Something is changing between regular and exclusive mode, probably changing the power settings for the graphics card in the process

Today, csgo shut my pc even with the phone plugged in while loading. I found that when i run OCCT at more than 250 fps the pc stops. Which leads me to think that HIGH FPS=PC SHUTS DOWN, Please guys tell me shut i go rma the card just to be sure nothing is wrong with it? only few days left from its warranty. Psu has 2 years more, and everything else 3 years.
