Coffee filters are the only thing I have found that dont leave lint.
Paper towels, q-tips, microfiber all leave some amount of lint.

Again, there is nothing wrong with smelling some of the fumes while working with it.
They say that so they arent legally responsible for the people that huff rubbing alcohol.
Good point^
Not to worry about that. It is lawyer speak.

Do not use a q-tip. It will leave lint.
Pour a bit of alcohol on a coffee filter and use that to clean off the old paste.
Run your pc a bit so that it heats up. That makes it easier to remove the cooler.

+1 use the stuff all the time to clean computer components and dress wounds on myself, horses, dog, ect.. Rubbing alcohol around here is a staple and I have never had any problems from just normal use. I believe they have to put that warning there for idiots who might think they can get high from huffing it or something.
