I built my new PC with quite a few NZXT components; Kraken X41 cooler, Grid+ V2, and a H440 case. I replaced the stock case fans with NZXT red LED fans with clear blades. However, when the PC is powered on, it is extremely loud, even when idle. I tried controlling the fan speeds in NZXT's CAM software, which connects to my Grid fan controller, but nothing seems to change. All my fans are connected to the Grid, and the Grid is connected to a USB on my motherboard, and a molex power cable to the power supply. Why are the fans so loud, and why can't I change their speeds?

Well most water coolers are quite noisy at max speed, you should check that, and also you may wanna download a program like afterburner and set your GPU fan at a fixed 35% all the time for example just so you can 100% isolate the problem. Perhaps your fan controller is noisy, try it in another PC if you can. You may also wanna check your connections and check if you can connect yours fans directly to your motherboard so you can control them from bios. If all that doesn't fix your problem then just buy better fans and be done with it.

My GPU fans do not spin when idle to reduce noise, so it shouldn't be that. My CPU cooler is a Kraken X41 water cooler, I don't suspect that would be causing all the noise..? I have a brother with the same PSU, (Seasonic M12II EVO 620W) his PC is very quiet, nowhere near as loud as mine.
