I am looking for a laptop with good gaming performance, decent battery (more than 3 hours), relatively thin (less than 26-27 mm), and under $1600. So far I have looked at the razer blade (low storage capacity), msi gs60 (bad battery life), and now i'm looking at sager.

I am intrigued by the sager NP8657-S because of its relative thinness and good performance. However, it is MUCH cheaper than the other options carying a gtx 970m and I was wondering why. Is sager reliable? How is the battery life?

Any response would be appreciated.

Clevo and companies that are built off of it's base like Eurocom are very well built. They have steelseries keyboards, and beefy cooling solutions. I can not say the same about HP, Lenovo, or Dell unfortunately. Here is a reddit post mentioning it got up to 68 celcius on the cpu, but don't expect gaming laptops to be that cool. IMPORTANT the sager has a skylake cpu, which does not have a working sleep/hibernate in windows 7 ,8,8.1. It works in windows 10. That will affect battery life a lot. The laptop is like the Eurocom Sky MX5, so you may want to check that out too. They both have g-sync.
