computer getting significantly low internet speeds compared to another user on same network

It could either be a network driver problem. a physical location problem (i.e. where you are situated relative to the source), or perhaps your network card is in need of fixing or an upgrade.
As I've left my computer on longer it has peaked around 30Mbps down but only 1.5 up compared to my friend who gets 75/75 which is what we pay for. This was a problem that just started happening recently and I've had no problems before hand. How would I go about updating my network driver to check if that's the issue?

-Open Control Panel
-Click Hardware and Sound
-Under Devices and Printers, click Device Manager
-In your Device Manager window, Find Network Adapters
-Right click each item in this menu and click Update Driver Software
Otherwise you can do it manually.
