Set up my new desktop build, connected everything correctly (to the best of my knowledge) and when I boot up my computer and it goes to BIOS, my MSI GTX 970 graphics card is not recognized by the system. It runs on the integrated graphics and I have no option to disable the integrated graphics. I have no idea what to do and would greatly appreciate any advice.

a few things first is your psu big enough for a 970 second is your motherboard able to support a 970 and third is the gpu plugged in correctly?
