Hello, so i was thinking about upgrading my old asus pc, by installing a new intel i3 cpu. So, i was doing my research ( First time i want to upgrade/ build a pc) and i found that my motherboard doesnt support intel, only amd ( i have an old amd athlon 64x). So, i need to buy a new motherboard. I found a new motherboard and a new intel i3 cpu. So, how can i understand, everything should fit together perfectly. But, again, im not sure and i need some help from more experienced people. So, here is what i want to buy:

A motherboard: Asrock MB H110 S1151
A cpu: Intel Core i3-6100

Also, as i understand i need some new RAMs, because my old motherboard (ASUS M3N72-D) had DDR2 memory type. So, will 4gb of new RAM be enough? Or i need some more?
To the new motherboard, i will put my old Geforce 9600gt graphics card, but will it be compatible with the motherboard? And lastly, about HDD.
Does HDDs have a class or generations, like RAMs (Like DDR2 OR DDR3 etc.)
Do i have to worry that my HDD will not be compatible with my new motherboard?

Thank you for help, i need it very much.
Also, sorry for my bad english grammar.
If you need any more information about my pc, i will tell everything you need.

The CPU and motherboard are compatible. You can go to Asrock's website product page under support and check the compatibility of the CPU, RAM, and other devices. I would start with no less than 8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB for dual channel), since that is quickly becoming the normal required amount. Your current video card will work, however, the onboard graphics are probably more powerful than that older card. You may want to run some comparisons to check. No need to worry about the drives as long as they have SATA interfaces and not IDE.
