So whenever I powerup my pc a blinking cursor shows up for about 5-10 seconds, but then windows boots into desktop and every things works normally and there is no booting issues (like hangs on boot or restart) at all....but to me the problem is the "blinking underscore" as far as I remember no blinking underscore ever showing before until I noticed it yesterday. I have very limited knowledge about computers so i don't know if it is a symptom of a problem under the hood or it is normal..
please if there anybody can help me about this topic..

That blinking cursor is normal but not for prolonged time. That's time period when BIOS is finding BOOT device and initializing it. Few things that can affect that time.
Boot disk is not selected as first BOOT device.
Boot disk is not in good shape and/or heavily fragmented. Those things can slow it and system loading considerably.
Having a USB disk or memory stick inserted and in some cases CD/DVD loaded and in BOOT device selection.
Other things like custom KB or wireless KB that need to be initialized.

after you powerup your computer, the computer will perform POST(power on self test) example RAM. Then the computer will boot up for the OS stored in HDD using the start file. Now in this time, during boot strap, if there are no HDD set as first boot that the OS is stored in that drive it will cause to halt the computer and it will give boot error, sometimes you will read "boot media device failed" or any. If this will happen check your BIOS settings boot menu if the HDD where you install the OS is the first boot. Now if that HDD is the first boot, then the boot strap or the under score remain at the top, there are tendency that your HDD failed to load the start-up file in actual time and the computer was not notify the error. This means that the computer during boot-p find the start-up but its halted. This error is cause in your HDD platter either a bad sector or damage of the master boot record. but you can this if this will fix, try to remove the sata cable or IDE cable of your HDD and change to another sata connector or IDE connector. Remove also the sata cable or ide cable in your HDD and insert it again. Lets see if this will fix, and go back here.
