I keep getting BSOD right at the Windows start up. I just installed new mobo Z170 & i7 6700k. What is the reason for BSOD? Is it that I need to boot with Windows cd again?

Solution
You need to back up your personal files. Applications will have to be re-installed. Since this computer won't boot, you may have to connect the disk to another PC to do the backups. These are all things you should have done before replacing the motherboard.

So I recently burned a Windows 7 64 bit on a dvd disk, but it won't boot up the disk even when I ask it to boot it from the boot menu? It's as if it didn't read it

All the stuff you have put into all the usual Microsoft folders... yes, you'll lose them.
So all the library stuff, My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, etc will all go when you re-install.
And obviously, all the stuff you have installed won't be there either.

One of the main reasons I've never used the Microsoft folders for anything since Windows 1.0!!
I always always save them elsewhere and if possible, on a separate partition (and even a separate physical hard drive) so that if necessary I can splat the Windows partition completely and start afresh without losing much.
I have learned to do this after a few nasty setbacks in the early days.
My Windows partition only ever has the OS on it and whatever I install, never anything else.

What motherboard did you have before? You didn't specify the error code, but it probably is 0x0000007B. If the SATA controller is set to AHCI, have you tried setting it to IDE or RAID?
