Hello!

I need a new headphones and your advice. Now I'm using Sennheiser HD555 connected directly to my Mobo - MSI Z87-G45 Gaming, no extra sound card. I'm looking for a great headset or headphones for at 1st gaming, 2d movies. I'm not a professional online gamer, so all I need is an awesome sound quality and good bass to feel more in-game you know... Budget is not a big deal but it would be cool to stay in $160 limit if possible. Also I don't know for sure if I need an open-back headphones or closed, because all I've ever used were opened, so I don't know with which one I can get better sound quality and in-game feeling. Mic isn't necessary, but if it's there it's ok.

My main candidates are:
Sennheiser PC 363D (is there any huge difference with HD555? Heard they're based on them. And yes, I know about the included sound card). I can get them for $150 in my country.
HyperX Cloud 2 (I heard they're great in sound quality and hyperx just fixed the sound card problem with a software update). There is something strange with the price for them in my country (don't know why) they'll cost me $140
ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Digital $120 in my country

I know there're only headsets in my list, but I'm also opened for your headphones advices.

P.S. English isn't my native language, so please excuse any mistakes.

Of those three, the Sennheisers are the best if you can afford them. They also have a 2-year factory warranty vs. the standard one year for most other headphones. And I prefer to use "open" ear instead of completely enclosed ear just because my head gets too hot when gaming, heh.

I notice no difference in sound immersion between my on-ear (open) audio/video headphones for watching movies (Pioneers) and my closed ear (completely over the ear) PlayStation Gold headset for gaming which I can't wear for long due to heat issues.

With that said, it's interesting to see how prices variate around the world. Not sure where you live, but here in the U.S. the Sennheiser PC 363D is more than twice the price of the HyperX Cloud II ($250 vs...

Ive been a user of the Cloud 2 for 5 months now, and think they are a great set for the money (£55 in the UK).

They have excellent sound quality, good mic quality and plenty of nice features - light weight, very comfortable, detachable mic, 7.1 surround, ability to use them in a standard headphone port as well as a USB port (so you can use them in your phone too), and general good looks.

For me, and many of the most trusted review sites on the web, the Cloud 2 is simply the best gaming headset you can get without spending double the price.

but there is one problem - Cloud 2 will cost me $140, very close to Sennheiser PC 363D which most frequent con is its price

It's a no-brainer to go with the 363D if it only costs you $10 more where you live!
