How to rip the Windows 7 off of a laptop and install linux mint 17. 3

I do not like Windows or Mac I prefer Linux mint but the bios has me locked out of using a boot disk to delete Windows and install linux mint. I'm trying this on an hp pavilion g7-1322 nr.

You can rip windows 7. It's not a piece of paper.

I think your looking to hold F2 during system startup

Tried f2 during start up and that won't open the bios to turn off uefi and go legacy boot. Tried f10 and it goes to choice of two Windows 7 or Linux mint 14 but 14 won't open even from a live disc.

If it's UEFI, look up your motherboard instructions, or look for on-screen cues.
