Asus z97-a won't turn on with case power or mobo power. Only way I get it to do something is to move the cmos jumper to the pins below it. Please help.

Solution
then you may how your power and reset switch buttons in the wrong configuration. read the manual closely, if you say it boots fine when the jumper is in the other position then it does not sound like a problem.

make sure your cmos jumper is connected to the correct pins in the first place. With the jumper located on the incorrect pins which is just moving it over a tiny bit the computer will NOT boot. if the computer boots on the pins next to it then most likely that is the correct configuration. you can look to your manual on the asus z97 for more guidance.
