Hi I am building a Gaming PC for $350. Earlier today I was looking for a PC for about $1000 but I already had a really good PC, so I decided not to buy that. But I wanted something to play games like COD BO3, Battlefield 4/Hardline, Minecraft, Fallout 4 and etc..... In my living room. So I wanted to ask are these specs good for this kind of gaming? I have seen people play games like this at Ultra High Settings with the same specs listed below.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q4hj3C

CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: (NOT GOING TO USE ONE)
Motherboard: Asus A68HM-K Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Memory: Mushkin ECO2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal HDD
Case: Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Solution

I think you should! (well duh I designed it :p) It has a high quality power supply, an I3 CPU which is on a much more modern platform than the aging AMD chips, and should serve your purpose well.

No GPU? I can't even browse chrome with that jk. If you want a budget friendly GPU that can play new games with decent settings and FPS, I recommend you getting a gtx750ti, if you can save more then get a gtx 960 instead. Your PSU also is kinda low.

You can find some GTX 750 under $100. I'd also get a higher quality power supply - it's the most important part of a PC. I would look into getting something like this instead:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($123.69 @ Amazon)

Click price breakdown by merchant. Then scorll to OutletPC.

And if you want to make it a bit cheaper , get an 88X mobo and 860K X4. It is a 4 core, unlocked processor, so it can actually play all games (i3s and Pentiums cannot (I mean CANNOT) play Fallout 4 and BO3, among other games.)

And, if you need more power later, than an AMD 860K on an 88X mobo (or this A68) can be overclocked with a 212 evo ($24.99). I3s are locked, and cannot be OCed.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($72.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI A68HM-GRENADE Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($53.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($27.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($88.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Fractal Design Core 1100 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($26.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($55.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $376.72

You will lose a little bit of performance going AMD over Intel, but here you get a much nicer mobo and overclock-ibility in exchange for ~5FPS.

NVM I found it but the problem is the power supply. Is a EVGA 100-N1-0400-L1 400W PSU good?

An I3 can play any quad-core game.

True, the i3 will run them, but people have had to install mods to even LAUNCH the games. Fallout 4 and others lock you out unless you have 4 cores, or trick the game into thinking you do. That was my point there. I usually would never go AMD over Intel, but my build saves $40 and gets rid of that $40 motherboard, which ups reliability :p.

Ok well I will buy the one you suggested. And maybe an I3 in the future. But the thing is I already have a gaming PC that I built for almost $1000 - $2000. This is just for entertainment and to play games like Fallout 4, COD BO3, etc....

But anyways Thank You I am looking forward to buy this next sunday.
