Ok, so about 3 days ago I was running my computer through an hdmi from my r9 270 to an Emerson tv. Then a power surge occurred and my tv was fried, no light, nothing. The day after I went and replaced the tv with and Element 32" and as i was plugging in my gpu, boom, a huge spark comes from the hdmi to the tv and fries that one too. Luckily, it was under warrenty and I got it replaced. I went and got an old 24 inch tv and plugged my gpu into the tv, but no matter what I try, there is just no signal. My pc doesnt have a vga and I dont have any dvi displays so I cant actually see what is going on. The fans on the gpu turn on and the pc seems to be running fine, but I have no video output. Is my gpu damaged? Also, I have tried 3 different hdmi cables (in case that helps). thank you for any help in advance.

Wow, I'd get an electrician to check your wiring before anything first and then get a good surge protector, you don't want to have this repeat again.
The HDMI on the card is most likely shot, you could try the other video outs.

your hdmi of your TV has fried your graphic card :D many devices uses hdmi for ground purposes. i Work with video games and see many dead ps4 with the HDMI controller burned. Try use in your system cables with ground connector to avoid that. My evga 430w has 45v on ground all the time can burn everything. 230v in my country don't have ground only live wires.

Thats what I was afraid of. Im pretty sure my wiring is a fire just waiting to happen, and I didnt find out until now. It is really hard to find a tv with a displayport input I can afford, so it looks like im out of pc gaming action for a while :(
Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it.
