AMD Radeon R5 240 1GB vs AMD Radeon 6450 1gb

So, I was looking around, and found the AMD Radeon R5 240 1GB as a upgrade from AMD Radeon 6450, but I was wondering its it worth it for 40 dollars? Is it a good upgrade? Will I see a performance boost?
My Current specs are
AMD FX 4300 3.8Ghz Quad Core
8GB ram
AMD Radeon HD 6450
GA-78LMT-USB3

Its a big boost, that said, an R7 360, while double the price would be a huge boost.

I would get that, but im on a very tight budget. Its either R5 240 or cheap motherboard with crossfire low end cards

The R5 is the way to go, Crossfiring cheap cards isn't worth it.

Also, the card does not have a vga output, which completely rules it out. I will instead get the AMD Radeon R5 230.

It will fit fine in your case, its a half height card so it will fit in short cases as well.

Some R5 240's do have a VGA out you just need to look for another brand, also you can get a DVI to VGA converter in fact many cards come with it in the box. May as well get the best you can afford.

The 240 in an R7.

The 230 is an R5.

And the 230 isn't even an upgrade.

There is an R5 240 as well, its an OEM card but widely available. The R5 240 is far faster than what he has, the R7 240 would be even better.
