Hey everyone, quick question:

So I recently decided to move from my current 16GB setup to a 32GB setup for rendering and things (let's see GTA leak that much memory) and I've made a slight boo-boo. I currently have 2 x 8GB 2666Mhz of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 and I wanted to do that again to fill all 4 channels, but accidentally bought 2 x 3000Mhz sticks instead. So instead of giving in to buying more expensive RAM I'm taking to the internet for guidance on the possibility of scaling the frequency, timings and voltage of the 2666Mhz or even the 3000Mhz so they match each other.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Solution
Start with the 2666 set, enable XMP and set to 2666. Save, exit, shutdown and then try adding the the new sticks, they might go to the XMP settings of the 2666, if so run it and check stability, if not again start with the 2666 and set them manually, then try adding the new
