What FM2 socket CPU is better than AMD A6-6400K APU

I am trying to find a better CPU for my FM2 socket type motherboard. (My price range is around 100-150 pounds or 140-200 dollars.) The cpu at the moment is currently bottlenecking my GPU (Gygabyte GTX 960 4GB) and games like ARK and Minecraft are dying because of this CPU, I was wondering if it would be any use to upgrade from 2 cores to 4 cores. If I have to switch out my motherboard for a better CPU I will if it is in the budget. Any recommendations will be appreciated

If by MB you mean motherboard, the motherboard socket for the cpu is FM2+/FM2

Open the case to check the MB model, or use cpu z to check it out. Then go to the manufacturer site to check the cpu support list.

Yes, it does, you may consider to buy the aftermarket cpu cooler ( 120mm size fan one) for ocing the 860K.

You will not need a massive aftermarket cooler for the 860K --- it runs really cool and even when 'volted' for an OC will not run hot.
