I am looking to build a pc that can be easily transitioned into a gaming pc with just the addition of a graphics card. I have a strict budget of $200. I already have a hdd and a case. So all i will need is a cpu, a motherboard, ram and a power supply. Do you have any suggestions?

The PSU price is today only- I had to splurge on it.

What is your monitor's native resolution? What "games" are you referring to? You'd have to dial back the quality settings and run at 720p at best in resolution in games. And here's just a thought: any time you get into the $400 and under price range of a gaming PC, you are really better off getting a console because those games and consoles are better matched for full 1080p performance (900p if you get an Xbone).

I'd consider looking at the option of finding a used PS3 or Xbox 360 for $150-$200. Heck you can find used/refurbed PS4/Xbone consoles for under $300.
