I just deleted a 10mb file using UNLOCKER thats called ntuser.dat that was in my C:/users/yourname and my whole pc went bust and back to factory original settings like i installed windows yesterday and now it always showing me when i reboot

"Preparing your destop"

And this account its a temporarily account and everything you do here will get deleted

Already tried system recover 5 times nothing happened getting an error message saying

There its a registry file or folder missing ( the one I deleted) and system recover could not be completed

All my files are untouched but my settings and everything are all messed up

What should i do

How do i recover from all this and get back to how i used to

Is there anyway i can get back that file or undelete it???

Accidentally? Looks like you went well out of your way to remove it and it looks like you didnt make a backup first 'just in case' it was important. (hence why the system wouldnt let you delete it) so it looks like your best option at this point is to reinstall windows all over again.

I'm not sure if there's anything left for a recovery program to find after everything you've already done. I assume you checked the recycle bin and its not in there...

There are recovery programs like Recuva, Testdisk, GlaryUndelete, to name a few. The problem is - the more you use the drive, the more windows overwrites the files in the 'deleted' areas. {For HDD's Windows doesnt really delete the file, its just marks the space as empty which means its...

SSD's can't overwrite so 'garbage collection' and 'trim' will go thru and overwrite the file with 0's}

Heres a little friendly advice: get yourself a backup drive.
- Important documents - you know those that you really don't want to lose, like family pictures, need to be stored on more than one device. Even burning them to a cd/dvd counts as a device. The more devices with copies there are the safer the files are.
- Anytime you make a change that might mess up your system, you need to make a backup first - unless you don't mind reinstalling everything again.
- Lastly. remember its a portable mechanical drive. its fragile, one drop away from being destroyed. When your main system drive dies the external drive becomes your only copy. ie - its not a backup anymore. Your first priority should be resolving that situation so that you once again have your important data on more than one device.
