Hello,

I am looking to build a gaming PC but I am unsure on what CPU to get. I was thinking about the i7-6700k. Here is a link to the list of parts that I plan to use: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/7M8bFT

I just wanted to know what a good CPU for gaming would be and if the i7-6700k would be a good choice. I have seen a lot of people using an i5 but am unsure of the performance differences.

Thanks in advance!

What isn't good is the crappy power supply powering that expensive rig. Change it to something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Power Supply: EVGA 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($58.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $58.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Otherwise it is a great build. 6700K is a solid CPU for gaming. I5-6600K is also solid and will perform near the same for most games.

Thanks for your input! I have updated my parts list to include this power supply.
