Installing Windows10 64bit on brand new SSD. I am afraid that if that install fails, or I can't get it up and running properly, I will be without access to my online store and shipping unless I can safely plug my original SSD with Windows 7 32bit back in. Will this confuse my BIOS or motherboard or something else. The license numbers will be the same on both.

Solution
The only potential issue is your license. When you upgrade to Windows 10 your Windows 7 license becomes invalid. If you dual boot them it could cause Microsoft to see both running and deactivate them both.

However you have 30 days to go back to 7 so try and do that first before you try and boot the old drive. Otherwise you may end up having to call them and explain the situation.

No they are actually separate SSD's. I wanted up move up from Windows7 32bit to Windows10 64bit installed on a new, larger SSD. My smaller SSD did not have enough room to upgrade Win7 to Win10 to prepare for a fresh install.

I am concerned that if for some reason I can't get the Win10 up and running in a short amount of time I will need my other SSD back in the computer. Don't know if taking out the Win10 SSD and putting back the Win7 SSD will affect anything, or everything.

Awww yes, I forgot about the original Win7 license becoming invalid and being attached to the new Win10. If anything goes really wrong with my new install I will look it up on Tom's Hardware how to go back to Win7 before I boot the old SSD.

Everyone here is great and so helpful. I have been on this site more than I like to admit. Especially when I built my new computer out of an empty case. 75 year old grandma's aren't suppose to be able to do that, but I'm pretty good at plumbing, electrical, and landscape also. It keeps me young. LOL
Thanks so much for your help. Truly appreciated.
