2GB is average, so it's good. it should be fine maxed out. 3GB and 4GB are great for playing other games too if you need it, but 2GB is enough

You can easily push 4gb vram with a few mods & 2k/4k texture packs - it just depends what you call heavily modded.

Irregardless I can't see any reason not to go with a 380 4gb at that price , its less than a 2gb 960.

Should do 40-60fps easily with an 860k.
