I have a 8320e at 4.5 with another 970 sc on its way to run sli on asus 970 pro gamer board. I currently get 8670 on fire strike score with a single 970 but for some reason can't overclock the current 970 sc I have because it crashes on the slightest overclock. Will I be able to overclock either card if I can't get this one I have already to oc? The display driver crashes or artifacts appear. Is there something I'm doing wrong in afterburner?

I own another system with an 8350 clocked at 4.7ghz under water cooling with a single gtx 970 (yes overclocked to 1500 core and 4000 memory)

The bottlenecking is noticeable but not to the point that it is entirely unplayable, just bothersome

I know its not an i5 or i7... but I do get really good frame rates with both 970s in sli. Firestrike score is at 24,000 graphics score is that too bad for a 132$ processor paired with 700$ in video cards lol? IS that really that bad for this processor. Passmark score is 10,500 at 4.5ghz.

Fallout 4 plays like butter with graphics set to Ultra. It didn't with one 970 but I read with any processor it played that way on Ultra.

gpu benchmarks try to limit cpu use in all ways. they wont show much for a bottleneck. however, for games that rely on one thread the performance wont be anywhere near the level of what a sli 970 can do
