Will a i3 6100 bottleneck a gtx 980ti

Despite 2 cores and four threads it won't bottleneck it as bad as you think, you'll still see some pretty amazing fps. Maybe see some dips in cpu Intensive games, but nothing too bad. It's not like you're sticking it with a pentium 4, all in all it will hold you over and you can always upgrade to an i5 later.
