hello

right now in my gaming PC. i have a logitech subwoofer/tweeters plugged into my PC right now. they work fine.

recently, i discovered an old home theater reciever and speakers in my dad's basement. it works great and the aux works great too. so i decided to plug it into my PC

i plugged it into the computers blue audio jack, and the realtek manager came up, asking me which speaker i just plugged in. i selected "rear speakers". and it played the test sounds fine.

the only problem is. the home theater speakers ONLY play windows system sounds, no music, no youtube, no itunes. NOTHING. but my logitech speakers work fine

i tried a y-splitter for the green audio jack, but then. only the home theater speaker works, not the logitech subwoofer.

so basically. if that was confusing for you to read. my logitech speakers work fine. but my home theater surround speakers only play system sounds. nothing else, can i have help?

Solution
Did you click the little speaker icon (probably lower right screen) and go into playback devices?

Right click the various options and see if some reconfiguration will make things work.

Could be that the current drivers will not support two sets of speakers.
